In contrast, short-haired breeds like Chihuahuas and Greyhounds lack this natural protection and are more likely to benefit from extra warmth provided by a jacket.
· Dog's Weight: Thinner dogs have less body fat to keep them warm, so wearing a winter jacket can significantly help insulate them from the cold.
· Health: If your dog is unwell or recuperating, it’s especially important to keep them warm to aid a speedy recovery.
